Description: Set in the bohemian port city of Valparaíso in 1953–1954, The Danger of Loving You follows two women from completely different worlds whose lives become unexpectedly intertwined. Fernanda Finsterbusch stars as Alba, a brilliant young medical student and one of the few women in Chile pursuing a career in medicine. Engaged and preparing for marriage, Alba appears to have her future carefully planned, but her meeting with Zahira forces her to question everything she thought she wanted.

Carmen Zabala plays Zahira, the powerful manager of the La Joya brothel and heiress to a family involved in the emerging cocaine trade. Having grown up in a male-dominated criminal world, Zahira has learned to protect herself and the women around her. When she meets Alba, an unexpected attraction develops between them and gradually becomes a forbidden love that challenges the strict moral and social rules of 1950s Chile.

Their relationship puts both women in danger as they become caught between prejudice, violence, family interests and the criminal networks surrounding Zahira. Cristián Carvajal, Aron Hernández, Taira Court, Tito Bustamante, Felipe Zepeda, Benjamín Westfall, Roxana Naranjo and Emilia Noguera are also part of the ensemble cast, portraying characters connected to Alba's personal life, Zahira's family and the dangerous world of Valparaíso's underworld.

Directed by Katherina Harder and written by Daniela Lillo and Leonora González, the six-part Chilean drama combines forbidden romance, historical drama and crime, while exploring sexuality, discrimination, social class and the limited choices available to women in the 1950s.
